To All Conference Attendees:

Here is important information about the hotel that you should know:

1. The Sheraton Atlanta is located at the corner of International Boulevard and Courtland Street and is two blocks from Peachtree Street where there are a number of restaurants as well as the Marta station.  Explore the hotel before you arrive at http://www.sheratonatlantahotel.com.

2.  Regarding amenities, as a guest of the hotel you will have complimentary Internet in your guest room.  Access to the fitness center is also complimentary.  If parking, self-parking is at the reduced rate of $5.00 per day (regularly $22.00).

3.  For Tuesday, February 26, lunch will be "on your own."  For your convenience, I've attached a document provided by the hotel showing restaurants that are nearby.  I have also attached a map and directory to Peachtree Center which has a food court with over 20 restaurants.  Peachtree Center is open until 6:00 p.m. and can be accessed by walking one block towards Peachtree Street on International Boulevard OR by crossing International Boulevard and entering the covered walkway via the Courtland Parking Garage.  Please print a copy of these documents and bring them with you for reference.

In addition, below is a link to the web site for the Atlanta Convention and Visitors' Bureau (CVB).  In it, you will find a wealth of information.   I've highlighted two links below - dining and 50 fun things to do in Atlanta.  For the dining link, be sure to enter "downtown" as the neighborhood.

So, take a few minutes before you come to Atlanta to take a look at the various links within the CVB's site.

Finally, ACTION FOR FEDERAL EMPLOYEES ONLY:  Attached is information as well as a form that you can complete to avoid being charged the Hotel Occupancy Tax of 8% on your bill.  Simply complete the form showing the name of your Federal Government agency and provide it to the hotel registration desk. Please print the attached form, complete it and bring it with you.
Tax Exempt Form 9828

Unfortunately, the State of Georgia does not provide for tax exemption of the Hotel Occupancy Tax for not-for-profit or charitable organizations.

Check back here in mid-February for the Conference Presentations.  See you in Atlanta!  Thank You!
