The Fort Worth Service Project on April 8, 2010 was a "Meet & Greet" of over 140 military personnel returning from duty in Afghanistan and Iraq at DFW International Airport. The CFC Foundation partnered with United Service Organizations (USO) who coordinated the volunteers on site and provided US flags. Volunteers created their own signs at the CFC Workshop Reception the prior evening, and wore Red, White and Blue as a show of patriotism to welcome home our troops and thank them for serving our country. The soldiers were from all services but primarily the Army, and were stationed in various locations in Afghanistan and Iraq. Some were returning permanently, others were on a two week "rest and relaxation" and will have to return to their overseas location.
